Mutants have been found in the bombed out Russian city of Lubin, and a trio of soldiers (Sullivan, Ogritz and Trantigne, each of different nationalities) enter the city to find out what happened. You control the team and direct them through the world of mysteries and surprises. There are many theories about who is controlling the mutants, who's on their side, and what they hope to gain.
A succession of missions awaits, and they must be approached similarly to the XCOM lineage. Tell your guys where to go and what to shoot at or talk to. Successful missions result in your characters gaining in their statistics.
